Today, Microsoft has released Kinect for Windows SDK 1.7 bringing Kinect Fusion and Kinect Interactions to Windows.
A few days ago, Microsoft stated in a blog post that “Kinect for Windows SDK 1.7 will be made available this coming Monday, March 18. This is our most significant update to the SDK since we released the first version a little over a year ago, and I can’t wait to see what businesses and developers do with the new features and enhancements. On Monday, developers will be able to download the SDK, developer toolkit, and the new and improved Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) from our website,”
Kinect Fusion opens up a wide range of scenarios for business and developers, not possible before by allowing them to utilise augmented reality, 3D printing, interior design and body scanning.
On the other hand, Kinect Interaction lets users use their hands to interact with the screen such as pushing a button, or “gripping and panning”, Hit the download link below to grab the SDK.
