Dell Windows RT tablet now priced at $299: new low price

Possibly down to lack of demand, Dell has reduced the price of its XPS 10 RT tablet to just $299.99.

The Dell XPS 10 runs Windows RT with Office Home & Student 2013; a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor; a 10.1 inch screen at 1366×768; a 28Wh battery rated at up to 10 hours; front and rear cameras; microSD slot; and 32GB of storage.

CNET provides a reason for the sudden drop in price as “Windows RT tablets are not flying off the shelves.” Despite the lack of sales, Tami Reller, CFO of the Windows Division said that Windows RT is not going away and will in fact be made better thanks to Windows Blue.

If you’ve been waiting for a well-priced Windows RT tablet, it looks like your wish has come
