For those of you wanting to edit your photos on your Surface RT, Adobe has today released Adobe Photoshop Express for both Windows 8 and Windows RT.
“On-the-go photo editing was never so fun, fast, and cool. Touch your way to better-looking pictures with automatic fixes and filters. Get your pictures to pop! And after sharing, you’ll be the talk of your friends,” the app description reads. This app is free and available in the Windows Store for download.
Adobe Photoshop Express features the ability to crop, straighten, rotate, and flip
your photos. You can also easily remove “red eye” as well as one-touch adjustments for brightness, exposure and shadows. Other features include slider controls for exposure, contrast, clarity, vibrance and more. There are also 15 effects to choose from.
Users can also upload their photos to Adobe Revel to sync them across their devices, as well as download separate “packs” via in-app purchases that offer added enhancements to the app.

As well as the usual security updates, Microsoft has today rolled out firmware updates for both the Surface RT and Surface Pro. The Surface Pro continues to see an update for WiFi reliability, while both devices see a UEFI firmware update.
For Surface RT, the firmware update features a UEFI firmware update that enhances Surface RT speaker volume and improves system stability. The update also comes with a driver pack that improves performance and works with the updated UEFI firmware to enhance speaker volume. Microsoft has also added Trackpad Settings driver for Surface Type Cover to enable interaction with the Trackpad Settings app for Japanese customers.
For Surface Pro, the firmware update features a UEFI firmware update that enables the PXE boot feature. “This feature is only available when using the Surface Pro Ethernet Adapter due to the UEFI integration needed to implement PXE boot,” Microsoft explains. Just as it has done for the Surface RT, Microsoft has also added Trackpad Settings driver for Surface Type Cover to enable interaction with the Trackpad Settings app for Japanese customers. Thought we forgot Wi-Fi? This update adds “continued improvements” when it comes to WiFi connectivity and stability on the Surface Pro.
Along with all the other updates, these are now live via Windows Update. Head over and update now.
